    COURSE DURATION:

    The 12 course degustation menu length is approximately 2~2.5 hours, short course approximately 1.5hrs.

    The menu can change during the season. Please note that some seasonal dishes may change without notice.

    FAMILIES WITH YOUNG CHILDREN

    We understand that dining with young children can present unique challenges, and we want to ensure that your family and our guests feel comfortable and enjoy their time with us.

    Please keep in mind that opting for an earlier seating and shorter course may contribute to a more enjoyable experience.

    MEAL CHOICES FOR CHILDREN

    For children under 12 years old, we offer 3 course options.

    1. 3 Course : Focaccia, Spaghetti, Ice Cream and Baked Dessert - Suggested for children 3~9 years old.

    You may also add a 40 g junior filet steak to this course. (3,000 YEN surplus). Recommended for up to 9 years old.

    2. Adult Short Course - Suggested for children 10 years and over who have a larger appetite

    3. Full Course Children's Tasting Menu (child portion) - This is the exact same course but small portioned for children who are experienced with fine dining.

    Please ensure to select a course for every seated child. Babies in bassinets will not count as a seated child.

    DIETARY RESTRICTIONS AND FOOD ALLERGIES

    Our culinary offerings at VIVE are curated with meticulous attention to a particular range of flavors and ingredients derived from dairy, seafood, shellfish, mushrooms and meats.

    We do have a vegetarian option (includes egg, dairy, cheese) but we are currently unable to accommodate for vegan preferences. We sincerely appreciate your understanding.

    Gluten Free version of both courses can be arranged with 6 hours notice for same day bookings. *please note, due to our small cooking space with shared equiment,

    we can not guarantee a completely allergy-free environment. We may not be able to cater to guests with severe food allergies or religious requirements.

    Please allow us to assess if menu adjustments can be made which will be confirmed via email or phone prior to confirming your reservation.

    DRESS CODE

    Casual. For a relaxed dining experience, we provide slippers to change into.

    PICK UP / DROP OFF

    Pick up / drop off service can be arranged in advance (based on availability).

    CANCELLATION POLICY

    • Changes and cancellations must be notified with more than 48 hours notice to avoid 100% forfeit of payment.
    • The same policy applies to no-shows and empty seats with less than 48 hours notice.
    • For large group bookings over 12 people, cancellations and changes must be notified with more than 72 hours notice to avoid 100% forfeit of payment.
    • Changes or cancellations to be communicated to hello@vivehakuba.com and are only finalized upon receiving confirmation from the restaurant.
    • Please kindly note payments are non-refundable unless given 48 hours or more notice.

    We are able to cater to large groups and events with prior notice subject to existing reservations. Please email or call with details. Groups for up to 14 guests can be reserved online.

    SPECIAL OCCASIONS

    For birthdays and anniversaries and other celebrations, we can add a short message on your dessert plate. Please let us know in the comments for the reservation. (free of charge).
